Artfields 2026 – Lake City, SC – April 10th- May 2nd
Artfields is a unique juried art show and competition where much of Lake City, SC is turned into a giant art gallery. This year there are 400 works of art that will be competing for top honors and displayed in many of their downtown shops, restaurants and galleries. My work, Nadya, will be on display at The Crossroads Exchange, a vendor marketplace that is full of wonderful treasures and during Artfields, they will also be hosting 20 wonderful works of art.

Educational Demonstrations are one of the best benefits of being a member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild. Members get to be Guild ambassadors while sharing what they do with visitors to our stores. During “demonstration season” (March-December) there’s often two different artists running demonstrations in the lobby of the Folk Art Center. The dates I’ve listed are when I have been the honor of representing the Guild and I’ll be sharing a bit of a behind the scenes look at what I do while offering my work for sale.

ArtScape Hendersonville 2025
ArtScape Hendersonville is an annual art show and public art exhibition. It’s a juried competition where the winners and their work are featured on large, outdoor banners that are hung throughout the downtown shopping district. Maya was chosen to be on one of this year’s banners. Maya’s banner is currently on display at 226 N Main Street adjacent to the outdoor dining area of Mezzaluna Brick Oven & Tap House.

GoFigure Guild is a mixed media group that creatively explores the art of the figure and will illustrate how the vision and skill of talented makers can transform figurative art beyond what is typically thought to be a “doll” or a toy. I feel fortunate to have been invited to join the Guild and participate in my first show with them. GoFigure Guild is made up of over 30 artists from Mitchell, Yancey, Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson,Transylvania, and Wilson Counties in North Carolina; Greenville, South Carolina; and Knoxville, Tennessee.
